Anthony F. Lynch, 44, of Schodack, New York, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, leaving his family, friends and loved ones mourning a painful loss. His passing has brought sadness to those who knew him and those who will remember the life he lived, the relationships he built and the memories he leaves behind.
Anthony attended Columbia High School before continuing his education at Hudson Valley Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree. He later became the owner and operator of Lynch Lawncare & Landscaping, a business he took great pride in building and operating. Through his work, he established a connection with his community and devoted himself to something he could call his own.
Outside his professional life, Anthony enjoyed a range of activities, including BMX racing, skateboarding, snowboarding and playing bass guitar with friends. He especially treasured family holidays, birthday celebrations and gatherings, as well as annual snowboarding and boating trips with close friends. Time spent near the ocean and opportunities to explore new places were also among the experiences he enjoyed.
Anthony is remembered in his obituary as someone whose infectious smile, laughter and warm presence brought happiness to those around him. His bear hugs and unmistakable personality made a lasting impression on family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Edward and Robin Lynch; his brother, Derek Lynch and sister-in-law Amanda VanBuren; his nephews, Leiland and Dawson; and his beloved dog, Nova, along with extended family members and close friends.
A visitation for Anthony will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at W\.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home in Rensselaer, followed by a memorial service. As his loved ones gather to honour him, they will carry forward the memories of his smile, laughter and the time they shared. May Anthony F. Lynch rest in peace, and may his family and friends find comfort and strength in one another.
