Ryan Arthur Putze, 24, of Moville, Iowa, passed away on October 27, 2026, leaving his family, friends and community heartbroken. Born on December 4, 2001, in Sioux City, Ryan grew up in the countryside near Moville, where he developed a love for farm life, outdoor work and building things alongside his father. His passing has left a painful void in the lives of those who cherished him.
Ryan graduated from Woodbury Central High School in 2020 before attending Iowa State University. He completed his studies in 2024, earning degrees in Finance and Agricultural Business. After graduation, he worked as a loan portfolio manager at Northwest Bank in Le Mars. He had recently taken his passion for independent contracting and turned it into a full-time business, excited to build a future through work he genuinely enjoyed.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ryan was devoted to his Catholic faith and had recently become a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was always willing to lend a hand, whether at church, the county fairgrounds or wherever someone needed assistance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his younger sisters, carpentry, baking bread and making handcrafted cutting boards and coasters. Road trips with his brother and long telephone conversations with loved ones were also among the simple pleasures he treasured.
Ryan was a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Angela Putze, and his eight siblings: Emily, Mark, Michelle, Suzanne, Sarah, Mary, Rachel and Seth. He also leaves behind his nieces, Vivian and Palmer; his grandparents Ray and Linda Brown; extended family members and countless friends. Those who knew him will remember his humour, affectionate nature, hard work, sharp mind, warm hugs and the happiness he brought into everyday moments.
Though Ryan’s life ended far too soon, the memories he created will remain with the people who loved him. His family and friends will continue to carry his kindness, faith, generosity and joyful spirit in their hearts. May Ryan Arthur Putze rest in peace, and may everyone mourning his loss find comfort in the love and memories they shared.
